Groundbreaking ceremony at Bürkert Campus Criesbach
The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony on 20 July 2023 marks the start of the expansion building project at the Bürkert Campus Criesbach. The expansion will increase manufacturing capacities and strengthen in-house plastics processing expertise.
Extension building on over 5,300 square metres planned by the end of 2024
First earthworks in June, the official groundbreaking ceremony on July 20, 2023: The expansion of the Bürkert Campus Criesbach to include plastics manufacturing technology with tool design and toolmaking is in full swing. By the end of 2024, the new building is to be built on an area of around 5,300 square metres.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Bürkert was represented by Andreas Bürkert as spokesman for the shareholders, Managing Director Georg Stawowy and the members of the management team Dr. Udo Gais (CFO), Stefan Müller (CTO), Meike Querengässer (CPO/CHRO) as well as Jürgen Lorenz, CEO of the Bürkert associated companies, Jürgen Häberle, Plant Manager Plastic Injection Moulding, and Tobias Kindtner, Project Manager Construction. In addition to employees of the construction company Stauch and the architectural firm Kraft & Kraft, Ingelfingen's mayor Michael Bauer and representatives of the local press were guests at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The new building is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024 and will provide sufficient space for the plastics injection moulding shop, toolmaking and plastics technology centre, which are currently located in a neighbouring building - also on the Criesbach campus. The space that will then become available will be used in the future for the expansion of the system house and production, which will then be able to increase their space by around 20-30 per cent.
In the future, the new building will offer more space to implement customers' requirements in the plastics sector in-house. This is because the entire plastics manufacturing process, starting with the development of a solution, through toolmaking to production in the plastics injection moulding shop, takes place directly on site.
