IPAI and Bürkert: Shaping the future of AI together
As of September 2024, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems joins the growing Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence (IPAI) ecosystem in Heilbronn as a member.
Bürkert wants to support and promote the IPAI's declared goal of becoming the largest ecosystem for applied AI in Europe – through joint, exciting projects and based on its expertise in innovative digital solutions for fluids. As a pioneer in fluid technology, we have been involved with new technologies since the company was founded almost 80 years ago and thus attach great importance to the safe and ethical utilisation of the opportunities offered by AI.
In Heilbronn, IPAI is creating an ecosystem that offers companies, start-ups, researchers and scientists a unique platform for working together on AI projects. IPAI, which sees itself as “the home for trustworthy, applied AI in Europe and the world”, supports the development of AI technologies and their application in business and acts as a bridge between research and practice. “As an internationally visible centre of innovation and value creation, the AI Innovation Park is intended to make an important contribution to ensuring that Baden-Württemberg plays a leading role worldwide in exploiting the enormous economic potential of ethically responsible AI. At the same time, it is intended to set standards for climate protection and sustainability as a major AI flagship project,” says Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics for the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Bürkert has set up a dedicated team to deal with the topic of AI, including its opportunities and risks. As part of the IPAI community, this commitment and the desire to contribute to pioneering AI solutions can be further strengthened. Dr Anne März, Project Team Leader and Team Coach Digital Products/Digital Toolchain at Bürkert, explains: “We see artificial intelligence as a significant opportunity. It’s essential for us to harness the potential in this area responsibly, aligning our approach with our value proposition to customers, employees, and society. Not least for this reason, we are all the more looking forward to working with the IPAI and are ready to tackle the challenges of the future together.“
