Type 8905 - Online water analysis system
Type Description
The Type 8905 online water analysis system is a compact, modular platform designed to monitor all key water parameters within a single solution. It operates as a multi-channel measurement system for Bürkert sensor cubes, mounted on a standard rail for use as a field-based installation. This system enables measurement of the following water parameters: pH, active and free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, conductivity, redox potential (ORP), turbidity, temperature and dissolved iron. Type 8905 provides high flexibility for unlimited configuration once installed into Type 8906 online water analysis systems. It can thus be installed inside control cabinets, mounted on backplates, or integrated into mobile units, and can be fully customised to meet specific customer requirements. The system is designed for simplified installation and rapid commissioning while minimizing operational and maintenance efforts. Leveraging Bürkert’s backplane architecture, individual sensor cubes can be removed without tools for maintenance, without interrupting the system’s operation. This design ensures maximum measurement system availability and optimal user convenience. Cleaning is carried out by a compact, self-contained unit equipped with pumps and solenoid valves. The unit cleans the sensor modules whenever necessary, depending on the quality of the water analysed. This unit is designed to clean the fluidic channels and the internal surfaces of the connected sensor cubes, using up to two cleaning liquids. This fully automated process significantly reduces manual maintenance and supports long-term measurement stability. Apart from replacing depleted cleaning containers, no additional maintenance is required. The system can be operated with or without a display Type ME61 (7" touch Control Display or 3.5" View Display) or via the Bürkert Communicator software Type 8920. In addition to displaying and recording analytical parameters, the platform enables advanced functionalities such as implementing control and regulation algorithms (e.g. PID control, on/off control, timer functions) through the integrated f(x) software function and interacting with processes via analogue and digital inputs and outputs.
